Using OSCR Online
OSCR Online is the online platform which allows charities to submit their annual information to OSCR and complete the required online annual return.
It’s really important that you keep your contact details up-to-date in OSCR Online so that you receive important information and reminders from OSCR.
Every charity must have a principal contact and at least one charity user. They can be the same person but it is not a requirement. Charity users can be trustees, volunteers, staff or even professional advisors such as your charity’s accountant.
Find out how to use OSCR Online:

Log in and out
- Click here to sign in to OSCR Online.
- Enter your email address and password and click ‘Sign In’.
- A dropdown list of charities you are associated with will be displayed. Click on the one you would like to log in to and click ‘Continue’.
- Your dashboard will then be displayed.
- To log out, click the circle in the top right corner. Select ‘Log Out’ to log out completely, or select ‘Switch Charity’ if you would like to access another of the charities you are associated with.

Reset your password
- Click here to open the OSCR Online login screen. Please note you must be logged out to reset your password.
- Click on the ‘Reset your password?’ link below the password box.
- Enter the email address you use to log in to OSCR Online, and click ‘Send verification code’.
- You will then receive an email with instructions on how to reset your password

Update your principal contact details
- Click here to sign in to OSCR Online. See the information above about logging in.
- Click on ‘Making changes to your charity’ in the menu at the top of the page.
- A page will open which shows all the key information about your charity. Update the principal contact information in the ‘Charity contact details’ section.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page. In the ‘Reason for update’ box, briefly state that you have updated the principal contact details.
- Click on the ‘Update’ button. If any mandatory fields are incomplete, you will see an error message.

Add a new charity user
- Click here to sign in to OSCR Online. See the information above about logging in.
- Click on ‘Manage charity users’ in the menu at the top of the page.
- Click ‘Add charity user’ in one of the blank boxes.
- Input the email address of the person you want to add.
- The person will then receive an email with further information. They must verify themselves using the details in the email (they should check their Junk folder if they do not receive an email within 20 minutes).
- Please note: you can have a maximum of three charity users.

Remove a charity user
- Click here to sign in to OSCR Online. See the information above about logging in.
- Click on ‘Manage charity users’ in the menu at the top of the page.
- Click ‘Remove contact’ under the name of the user you want to remove.
- The person will then receive an email with further information. They must click the link contained in the email to confirm they should be removed (they should check their Junk folder if they do not receive an email within 20 minutes).
- Please note: you must have at least two charity users before you can remove one.
